Watashino Nihongo
Konichiwa. Watashiwa Pato Desu. Watashiwa Nihongo-o sukoshi arimasu! Yoroskiku Onengaishimasu...
I have always had this fasination for learning foreign languages...started with German then moved to Japanese...must say that I am slightly losing my touch with all wat I learnt..must keep practising!!! Now i am thinking of moving to Russian or Spanish..strongly dont want to learn French..dont know why...
But Japanese was really fascinating..It is the only language I know which actually has 3 scripts and 1 of them is just for writing foreign words!!! Did you know that nearly 35% of Japanese cant read all the characters in the newspaper!! There r just too many to learn...yaya I know our own Indian languages aren't a piece of cake..
so ne of you have this language bug??
Sayonara for now!!

My aching heart
Ever since I read in BBC about the 60th anniversary of the failed uprising in Warsaw against the Nazi occupation..I have just not been able to sleep in peace..I just keep thinking of the Holocaust and the attrocities of the Nazis...did you know that the population of Poland dropped by 22% during 6 yrs of the Nazi rule!!!
why!! why did such an event take place?? and to top it all I got up in the night and saw Schindlers List!!
My heart really goes out to all the people who lost their loved ones...
What would have made one man to become such a dictator??? and how did so many people follow him blindly??
sorry guys..for bringing up this sad chapter of history...

My Mexican Encounter
Stuffed Llama
Hola...well..there is not much goin on in singapore right now..so let me take you back to my exotic visit to this Mexican village in San Diego...(for geography illiterates San diego is on the border with Mexico) The entire village has been preserved as a heritage spot and is just like a set from one of the old western classics...
Mexican architecture with its spanish influence is really marvelous...the place has everything you might find in Latin America.. right from llamas (tintin fans: remember the spitting llamas in Tintin and the Prisoners of the Sun) to red peppers and colourful sombreros...
There is also a Mexican Bazaar: Bazaar Del Mundo where you can buy all exotic and truly mexican products...must say they really like bright colours!! and to top it all you can nearly 10-20 types of margaritas...really a trip here is just incomplete till you have gulped down a few of these delicious drinks..my favorite is the lemon one....
I think I can certainly get a job now in some travel company...the 'guide' spirit is rising in me...well catch you later till then Adios!!!

My trip to Troy
well...since I didnt post nething yesterday...thought I will make up for it by 2 posts today.
The story of Troy and the Trojan horse has really made a great impact on our lives...The term Trojan Horse is not only brand of some products...but also referred to some kinds of viruses...
I have always been a great fan of Greek mythology and the different Gods that controlled ancient Greek life...well the movie 'Troy' does try to depict the famous tale told by Homer about the Greeks and their conquest of Troy..however with many editions to the original tale..Overall the movie is watchable..so go enjoy!!

My Swedish Shop
I have always been a great fan of interior design...well you can say that it is in my blood! I certainly must give full marks to this swedish firm which has time and again shown the world the importance of aesthetics....Ikea with its mission to come up with innovative products and designs has conquered the hearts of many and can be credited as a True Success Story...dont worry i am no Ikea agent...just someone who believes in the spirit of Ikea and saltues its contribution to the world of design and decor!!

My favourite donkey
Get ready for Shrek2!! I am sure all you donkey fans are waiting to see a mind blowing hilarious performance by donkey...what appeals to me most is donkey's frankness...(some might call it dumbness) I prefer to look at the positive side..I think donkey is the glue in the entire story...fact is without donkey, it is just a normal bollywood story...hero saves girl and girl falls in love with hero...(can you hear the violins playing in the background!!)
Neways donkey fans enjoy the movie!!!

My Mint Craving
I have always been a great fan of anything minty..especially mint icecream..It is one of the most refreshing and cooling things ever!!
Ice cream Flavorology: what can you tell about a person from their favorite ice cream...Interestingly mint lovers are ambitious and confident… yet a little skeptical about life. They are loyal, honest and can create lasting friendships and close family ties
Well who am I to argue about this!!
